Privacy notice
Free GEO Checker collects as little as possible. This notice explains what is processed and why.
Who is responsible
Matias Putkonen, 89 rue Berrua, apt. 39, 64210 Bidart, France, operating Free GEO Checker and GEO Platform Pro™. For any privacy request, email putkonenmatias@gmail.com. You do not need to use the request form.
Website checks
- When you check a domain, the tool reads that website's public homepage, robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap, and sends the domain and the public homepage text to AI assistants (Anthropic's Claude) to produce the result.
- The result is saved as a report with its own link so it can be shared. Reports contain information taken from the website's public pages and the AI answers about it; public pages can include names or contact details of people. Reports are kept so shared links keep working and are deleted on request.
- Your IP address is used briefly in memory to apply the hourly limit. It is not stored.
Pro requests
- If you send the Pro request form, your name, work email, company website and message are stored to reply to you and to prepare an offer.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible contract, and legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
- Requests that do not lead to a customer relationship are deleted within 12 months.
Deep check payments
- When you unlock a deep check, Stripe processes the payment. We receive the payment status, your email address and the billing details Stripe collects; we never see your card number.
- Legal basis: performance of the contract and our legal obligation to keep accounting records, which are kept for the period required by law.
Analytics
Visits and page speed are measured with Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which work without cookies and report only aggregated figures.
Service providers
- Vercel Inc. (United States) hosts the site and stores reports and requests.
- Anthropic PBC (United States) processes the domain and public homepage text to generate AI answers.
- Stripe processes deep check payments.
These providers may process data outside the EU under their standard data protection terms.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, and object to its processing. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, such as the CNIL in France (cnil.fr) or the authority in your own EU country.
